Within the Curriculum Network lies the major strands of the curriculum, including:

  • Unit Calendar – Bar Graph of the Time Frame for Units in the Course

Each Unit Overview includes:

  • Overview – Summary of the Unit, Suggested Time Frame for teaching the unit

  • Stage 1: Big Picture

    • Learning Targets (standards for students, with indicators to “D=Do” and “K=Know”),

    • Essential Questions (big questions for students to think about),

    • Cross-Curriculum Links (How does this unit connect to other units?),

    • Key Terms (What terms are important for the students to understand?)

  • Stage 2: Assessment – Ongoing & Cumulative Suggested Assessments

  • Stage 3: Learning Activities – Teaching Sequences (Lessons), Activities, Teaching Resources
